The ICT Hub was a two-year USAID Global Development Alliance between two successful Serbian companies and USAID. The objective was to identify and advance innovative IT concepts by providing technical support to budding entrepreneurs and companies to develop their ideas into feasible projects.
The activity was a response to the large potential identified in young, highly skilled individuals and talented software developers who needed technical support and knowledge to complete their projects and grow as entrepreneurs. The ICT Hub was created to offer start-up support for individuals and newly founded small businesses with innovative IT ideas. It provided them with shared office space, a high-end platform for development and testing, joint support services, PR for their projects, quality technical and IT support and mentoring and education.
Some of the main project's results: it recruited its first set of 40 entrepreneurs on developing projects with market potential; created an educational pool of more than 40 mentors of different profiles to work with ICT Hub users on an ongoing basis; ICT Hub users developed eighteen market-ready IT projects.
